Florida Faith Alliance & U-ACT.org: United Against Child Trafficking
Florida Faith Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Lynne Barletta, has been on the front-lines of the fight against human trafficking in Florida. For her leadership and impact, Lynne was honored with a statewide award through Florida Faith Alliance for her outstanding contributions to this cause.
Building on that momentum, Lynne launched U-ACT.org (United Against Child Trafficking) a secular division created to reach everyone, from all walks of life and every background, because every child matters. While Florida Faith Alliance engages the faith community, U-ACT expands the mission into the broader community, uniting people across all denominations, professions, and demographics to protect vulnerable children and end human trafficking.
As part of this expanded mission, Florida Faith Alliance and U-ACT are asking city and county commissioners to join the 100% Club, an initiative of Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Statewide Council and the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking.
Florida State House Representative and State Council Board Member Toby Overdorf stresses the importance of municipal participation:
“Florida law enforcement can’t be everywhere, and that is why municipal support of the 100% Club is critical to helping end human trafficking. Your commitment will have a consequential impact on your citizens and may very well save the life of an otherwise lost soul.”
In 2024, the City of Port St. Lucie set a powerful example by joining the 100% Club and training all 1,400 employees through the online program.
Why the 100% Club Matters
Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. It crosses every boundary—age, gender, ethnicity, and social status. By raising awareness and equipping employees to recognize the warning signs, entire communities become safer, and lives are saved.
What is the 100% Club?
The 100% Club is a partnership with the Florida Office of the Attorney General that recognizes businesses and government agencies who:
Train all employees to spot the signs of human trafficking
Provide quick reference tools for reporting suspected trafficking
Participate in statewide public awareness campaigns
When employees are empowered with the right tools, they become the eyes and ears in their communities, preventing exploitation and saving lives.
