OUR IMPACT

18 months. More people equipped. More communities engaged.

U-ACT turns awareness into action.

From training professionals to educating the public, U-ACT helps communities recognize human trafficking, respond to warning signs, and protect vulnerable children.

PREVENT

Help people recognize exploitation before it escalates.

  • More than 7,000 students reached through school resources: Don’t Take the Bait! videos and curriculum provided to Indian River County schools to help students recognize online grooming, sextortion, and exploitation.
  • 2,000 municipal employees trained: Employees in St. Lucie County and Port St. Lucie learned to recognize trafficking warning signs and report concerns, becoming members of the 100% Club.
  • Tools for parents: U-ACT’s national affiliation with Bark expands access to tools that help parents protect children online

EDUCATE

Equip professionals and communities to take action.

  • 12 trauma-informed art teachers trained: Expanded the ability to deliver The Power of Art program.
  • 72 presentations delivered: Reached community and professional audiences with trafficking awareness and prevention education.
  • 19 proclamations signed: Engaged local governments across four counties in raising awareness and encouraging action.
  • HB 3 advanced in Florida: U-ACT brought the legislation to Representative Toby Overdorf. The bill passed the Florida House and Senate unanimously in 2024, addressing minors’ access to pornography. (should this come off the list since it was prior to 2025?)
  • Partnered with Florida Alliance to End HT to provide Law Enforcement Technology State-Wide (name the tech)

RESTORE

Help children move from trauma toward healing.

  • 238 art restoration classes delivered: Provided for child victims at four facilities.
  • Hundreds of arrests and rescues: Awareness presentations and South Florida news segments with U-Act’s Founder taught how to turn in tips, resulting in more victims being saved.

BUILDING THE NEXT RESPONSE

The mission continues to grow.

In 2026, U-ACT launched Blue Taskforce law-enforcement training in the 19th Judicial Circuit and advanced the Build the Bus initiative a mobile response environment designed to support children during rescue and forensic interviews.

These initiatives extend U-ACT’s work from awareness and prevention to a more coordinated response for exploited children.

A proclamation is an official, typically honorary statement by a local government recognizing an important cause or issue. It raises public awareness, encourages community involvement, and recognizes a shared commitment, but generally does not create laws, require action, or commit government funding.)

HELP US REACH MORE PEOPLE. PROTECT MORE CHILDREN.

Every training, presentation, and partnership creates another opportunity to recognize exploitation and take action.

Uniting communities. Protecting children. Ending exploitation.
