Don’t Take the Bait! (DTTB) is a prevention education program that teaches children, teens, parents, educators, and community leaders how traffickers and online predators manipulate and exploit their victims.
The program focuses on the threats children face every day:
- Online grooming
- Sextortion
- Social media manipulation
- Gaming and online solicitation
- Child exploitation
Through age-appropriate videos and real-world scenarios, DTTB reveals how predators use seemingly innocent interactions to build trust and create opportunities for exploitation.

“You should be a model.”
“I’m in love with you.”

15-minute video + one-hour classroom lesson
Fast-moving, age-appropriate content teaches younger students how predators approach children online and how to recognize unsafe behavior.
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL
20-minute video + one-hour classroom lesson
Teens learn to recognize grooming, sextortion, online solicitation, social-media manipulation, dating-app risks, gaming threats, and other tactics predators use.
TEACHERS, COUNSELORS & STAFF
One-hour training
Adults learn the signs of exploitation, what to watch for, and what to do when they recognize a problem.
Every video includes downloadable curriculum and discussion materials. Before-and-after surveys help measure what students and teachers learn.

DTTB videos and statistics are updated annually. Additional 15-minute monthly staff updates can address emerging technology, tactics, and information.
DTTB is a prevention-focused education initiative designed to help children, teens, parents, educators, and community leaders recognize and avoid the tactics used by traffickers and online predators. Developed in collaboration with Florida Faith Alliance and United Against Child Trafficking (U-ACT), the program addresses the growing dangers of online grooming, sextortion, social media manipulation, and child exploitation. Through clear, age-appropriate messaging and real-world scenarios, DTTB teaches how traffickers “bait” victims with false promises of friendship, money, modeling opportunities, or romantic attention. The program emphasizes digital safety, situational awareness, healthy boundaries, and early intervention, empowering participants to identify red flags and take action before exploitation occurs. By equipping communities with practical knowledge and prevention tools, DTTB strengthens protective factors and helps close the gaps traffickers exploit—online and offline.
